“Thus says God, the Lord , who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it” Isaiah 42:5
Sometimes we forget, sometimes I forget, that our life is yours and not our own. I am reminded now that even my own breath is not my own, and it can be taken away or given to me as you please Lord God. So I offer thanksgiving and praise for the breath you give me every day, and I ask for forgiveness for not treating it as the gift that it is.You grant me breath for a reason, to glorify you, and I fall short by far, but I am thankful for each breath you give me, and I want to make that breath worthy of You.Thank you for allowing me to wake up this morning with a new start of the day, another opportunity to serve you and love your children.Thank you for giving me the breath to see your beauty in the day, and thank you for the breath that keeps me alive when I am sleeping.Thanks be to God.
